Electronics manufacturing cleanrooms run 24/7 nonstop all year round. Traditional forward-curved centrifugal AC FFU fans feature high energy consumption and loud operation noise, plus regular disassembly for maintenance. Steep electricity and upkeep costs have long weighed heavily on enterprises’ production expenses.
A large electronics manufacturer in Foshan operates a cleanroom originally equipped with 700 forward-curved centrifugal AC fans. Running under full load year-round, the facility faces three urgent pain points: excessive power draw, poor noise control and frequent maintenance demands.
Targeting the ceiling-mounted FFU systems in cleanrooms, we provide customized energy-saving replacement solutions for clients. We fully replace the original outdated forward-curved AC centrifugal fans with over 1,450 units of EBST high-efficiency brushless EC fans. The products are compatible with the laminar flow ceiling structure of cleanrooms, requiring no major reconstruction of ceiling infrastructure to deliver a rapid overall upgrade.
The new fans achieve a substantial drop in energy consumption compared with the old models. The project saves up to 12.2 million kilowatt-hours of electricity annually, drastically cutting power expenses and significantly reducing the long-term operational and production costs of the factory.
The annual electricity saving of over 10 million kWh translates to a carbon emission reduction of 9,572 tons. This helps the factory realize green production, meet carbon neutrality assessment standards, and easily achieve environmental production indicators.
Optimized with an advanced fluid impeller structure, EC fans deliver remarkably lower operating noise. The retrofit effectively eliminates the long-standing high-noise working environment in the cleanroom and greatly improves working comfort for on-site staff.
Adopting a stable brushless DC EC motor structure, the fans feature no carbon brush wear. After the upgrade, no disassembly inspection or part replacement is required throughout the year, eliminating massive labor and material costs for daily operation and maintenance.
Against the backdrop of the Dual Carbon Policy, energy-saving retrofits for cleanrooms are no longer an optional upgrade, but a mandatory necessity for cost reduction and efficiency gains.EBST has long focused on the R&D of high-efficiency EC fans with abundant successful project cases in electronics cleanrooms. Backed by authentic, quantifiable power-saving and carbon reduction data, we deliver one-stop energy efficiency solutions for manufacturing clean facilities.
